About the Event

Where are our roots? How do we sense into them? How do they work to support us, to keep us grounded, sustained, and nurtured?

In this creative session, Ruth Charnock and Rachel Petheram will help you to feel into and express the stories of your roots, using writing, story, meditation, and somatic work, in collaboration with the land and, specifically, the trees. What might we learn about ourselves from being with trees? And how might this learning be expressed through writing? This workshop will give you the space to deepen your connection with trees and, through this, your connection with yourself.

The Practical Stuff

This workshop is held in Rachel’s studio in the walled kitchen garden at Doddington Hall and within the wider gardens. We will be walking in the grounds and we may be sitting on the ground. You will need sturdy shoes and weather appropriate clothes and you will need to bring a notebook and pen/pencil. Lunch and refreshments are provided and numbers are capped at 6 people. Timings are 10am - 4.30pm and the investment is £155
